Disability Access

Patients are encouraged to discuss any access needs they have prior to attending the practice to provide the best possible service. Any information provided concerning disability would be treated as confidential.

Facilities in the practice

There is access to the front of both practice sites via a sloped ramp with easy access through the automatic front doors at Park Farm Medical Centre. At Vernon Street Surgery there is an intercom system connected to the front door.

Both sites are within three-story buildings with easy access at the main entrances. The practice has a lift fitted for easy access to all three floors at Park Farm Medical Centre. All corridors and consulting rooms have room for wheelchair access at both sites, at Vernon Street Surgery, this relates to those on the ground floor.

The reception staff are available for any assistance required. Fire doors protect the main corridors and as a result are heavy to manoeuvre, but the reception staff are more than willing to assist.

Interpreters

Interpreters are available by prior arrangement with CAPITA (0845 367 7000 or 0800 004 2000)

An Induction Hearing Loop is installed together with a portable hearing loop which is available for use during consultations.
