Home Visits

Home visits should be requested by telephone before 10:30.

Home visits are for patients who are bed-bound or palliative and who cannot attend the surgery.

Please remember that there are increasing pressures on doctors time and that we may be able to offer you a more timely assessment if you come to the surgery. Doctors can often see three or four patients in surgery in the time that it takes to do a single home visit.

The GP dealing with your health needs may telephone you to discuss appropriate methods of dealing with the situation.

Any urgent visits requested after 10:30 will be dealt with by the duty doctor as appropriate.
